He entered into real darkness, real brokenness, and real dysfunction. Just as that first-century world was filled with Roman oppression, spiritual silence, and hopelessness, Jesus steps into our darkness today—our failures, shame, broken relationships, and hidden struggles. The good news of Christmas is not that God waited for us to clean ourselves up, but that He dove into the freezing water to pull us out.
